Power line status monitoring system in Manhole

Maintenance required in underground are difficult to reach and often unpredictable. Furthermore, the access to commercial power outlets (110V or 220V) is often limited or unavailable. Connecting converters to main power lines to carryout maintenance work in underground is a hazardous method to access power during maintenance work. The need for accessing power without touching the mainline arises in such cases, and Ferraris can provide such technology to access contactless power supply from main power lines.    

Ferraris smart grid solutions provide electric power to devices anywhere where power lines are, such as distribution line and underground line. The Tolenoid C® (Power supply solution) can be installed on existing high voltage lines and provide required power to various meters, sensors, and TV White Space (Super Wi-Fi solution - Adaptrum, Inc.); Environmental conditions are considered, such as temp. and water. 

With conventional solutions, it is difficult to secure separate conventional power source, such as 110V or 220V when dealing with underground power lines. Power can be acquired from an underground high voltage power line and used for the power source of various meters and sensors installation.
