Economical and Unrestrictive solutions
The biggest hurdle for the system integration companies was finding more economical and unrestrictive power and data communication solutions than battery and satellite, 4G, 5G or LTE for Internet of Things (IoT) equipment's both above and underground.
Regarding the data communication and battery solutions that transmit measured data from various IoT equipment's to the control tower (a cloud platform that generates Big data), the installation and maintenance costs may be too high, and thus, financially burdensome for customers.
When there are no outlet or transformer where IoT equipment installation point;
- Transformers: high cost of installation
- Solar panel: inconsistent power output for devices requiring constant power
Using satellite, 4G, 5G, or LTE for IoT equipment;
- Requires base transceiver station near by: high cost of Installation
- Requires contract with a network provider: resulting in additional running cost.
The public parke need to monitoring tourist and parking a lot for safety;
- Due to a lot of trees and gradient of mountain and curves, it is very difficult to monitoring them
- Want to set up Public Wi-Fi along with CCTV for whole area
- Want to Public Wi-Fi for Emergency communication from office
Implemented public Wi-Fi and CCTV for security monitoring using TV White Space solution (Adaptrum, Inc.) and Power supply solution at Taejongdae Park.
